This trip was way too short to do this city justice. There’s just art almost everywhere you look. If you can’t see it then you’re obviously not looking right.

I chose the places that I could use my camera over places that do not allow the use of cameras. This meant that the National Museum at the middle of the Ring Road was out. Ditto Victor Uwaifo’s galleries and the Oba’s palace. Secretariat Complex I’m coming back for you. I missed out on Chief Ogiamien’s house (the only royal building not destroyed during the 1897 Benin expedition). I’m not sure how that happened.

This trip made me realize how much I miss Delta State (yes I know Benin is in Edo State). There’s still Koko to tick off so hopefully I get to visit soon.
