I had heard great and some not so great things about this place before visiting, but I somehow chose to forget the not so great things; and yea, forgetting came back to bite me.

Amarachi (of Travel with a Pen) had told me in the past that DSLR “professional” cameras were not allowed. After making a card payment of N5,000 per person, we found out at the entrance that cameras were not allowed. We were definitely ready to go back home, but since we’d made card payments, getting our money back wasn’t going to be easy. The cost to bring in a DSLR camera? Fifty Thousand Naira.

So we ended up staying. And yes, the place is nice, and beautiful, and relaxing and will probably be great for group trips. They have a lot of activities available. There are swimming pools (a meandering swimming pool with bars on the side, said to be the longest in I can’t remember). There are quad bikes which sadly weren’t available when we visited.

There is a freshwater stream separate from the ocean on the premises, which is used for kayaking. The water is so clean I wouldn’t mind swimming in it. A 10 minute ride was N500. There are also several group games available.

Would I visit again? Yea. Just beware that almost everything in this place costs money.
